How we started and where we're going

Our Story

Making a Difference Since 2011

Founded in 2011 AD, our journey began with a simple yet powerful vision—to provide a safe haven for orphaned and poor children who had nowhere else to turn. What started as a small initiative in Budhanilkantha, has grown into a home filled with love, care, and opportunity for children from diverse castes and backgrounds. We believe that every child deserves more than just survival—they deserve to dream, to learn, and to thrive. Many of our children come from heartbreaking situations, including abandonment, extreme poverty, and social neglect. Through education, healthcare, nutritious meals, and emotional support, we empower them to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.

Over the years, we’ve made a real difference in the lives of many children. Today, we continue to nurture and guide each child as they grow into capable, confident individuals. Our team, supporters, and donors share one mission: to create a brighter future for every child in our care. Together, we are more than just an orphanage—we are a family. A place where children find not only shelter but also the strength to rise and the tools to succeed.

Our Journey

Key milestones in our history

2011

In 2011, we established our orphanage in Budhanilkantha-13, Chunikhel, with a mission to support orphaned and poor children. We began by providing shelter, food, and basic education to a few children in need, laying the foundation for a safe, caring environment where they could grow, heal, and pursue brighter futures.

2013

In 2013, we expanded our services by introducing informal education and health checkups for all children. We collaborated with local volunteers to offer basic learning materials and organized cultural activities, helping children develop confidence, creativity, and social skills while ensuring their well-being through regular medical support and emotional care.

2018

In 2018, we improved our infrastructure by renovating living spaces and building additional toilets for better hygiene. We also introduced music and language classes to support children's emotional and intellectual growth. Community awareness programs were launched to promote child rights and encourage local support for the welfare of underprivileged children.

2021

In 2021, despite the challenges of COVID-19, we ensured children’s safety through hygiene education and regular health checks. We provided online learning support during school closures and distributed educational materials. Emergency food supplies and emotional counseling were prioritized, helping children stay healthy, connected, and resilient during uncertain times

2024

In 2024, we focused on enhancing children's education by enrolling them in better schools and providing tutoring support. We also strengthened partnerships with local health centers for regular checkups. A digital literacy program was introduced, and staff received training to improve caregiving quality and ensure a safe, supportive environment for all

Today

Today, we are nurturing 16 children by providing safe shelter, nutritious food, quality education, and emotional support. We run skill-building programs like music, language, and health awareness. With the help of dedicated staff, local donors, and well-wishers, we continue creating a loving environment where every child can grow and thrive.

Over the years, Emily-Anne has been a source of comfort during difficult times, stepping in with timely support whenever we faced financial challenges. Her kindness became even more meaningful recently as she committed to becoming a permanent monthly supporter, now helping to cover 4% of our total monthly expenses. Her steady encouragement and generosity have made a real difference in the lives of our children. We are deeply thankful for her continued support and for being part of our extended family.
